Look On the Bright Side

You seem to be stuck in a rut. Everything is going wrong for you and you can't seem to turn it around. You may get a glimpse that things are going to get better, then you get slapped back down. You don't understand why these things keep happening to you. You are a good person, shouldn't Karma be bringing you good things?

Here's the problem, when your life is in the dumps that's what you tend to focus on. You focus on the negatives. You give voice to those negatives by venting about them, you give thought to those negatives. I've been there.

I want you to know, there is a solution. A very simple solution, but it will take some work and practice on your part.

Stop thinking about the negatives in your life. Stop venting about them. Stop giving them life. Look around you, do you have a home, a job, food, friends, family? These are good things in your life. It may not be the home you want, or the job you want, but you have them, be thankful for them. Acknowledge and give thanks for the good things in your life. If you find negative thoughts forming push them away and fill that space with thoughts of something that makes you happy. Don't vent about the negatives that are happening to you, that gives them thought. Like attracts like, and thoughts are energy.

Before you go to sleep at night, make up your mind that tomorrow is going to be a good day. Make up your mind that nothing will bother you, that all good will come your way. Reaffirm it in the morning when you wake up.

I have been doing this for 3 weeks now. Every day it gets easier to do and I am beginning to see a difference in my life. Especially where my job is concerned. This is the most stressful time of year at my job and I can honestly say that these last few weeks at work have been good. I have refused to let the stress get to me. I have noticed that people that I am dealing with are happier. Because I am happier I am sending out positive energy.

Push the negatives aside, ask the Divine for a good day and trust that you will get it. If you have a set back, push it out of your mind. Trust that each day will get better. As you change your way of thinking and acknowledging things, each day will get better. Don't let doubt that you will have a good day and that things will get better rear it's ugly head.

Look on the bright side!

Until next week,
Rev. Tammy Lind
